Jill Daley began studying piano at the age of three and violin at the age of six with her mother.
She received a Bachelor's Degree in Violin Performance from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and attended graduate school at Boston University's School for the Arts under the tutelage of Peter Zazofsky. As winner of the Cameron Baird Concerto Competition, Jill was soloist with the UB Symphony.
She has also been a featured soloist with the Clarence Festival Orchestra, ZeRo TaiKo, McDonald's Global Conference, Disney's Magic Music Days, and regularly performed as a strolling violinist for Disney's Intimate Weddings while living in Orlando.
Her piano teachers include: Shirley Irek, Jonathan Bass and Roland Martin. Jill has performed with groups such as the New Hampshire Symphony, Orlando Philharmonic, Palm Beach Pops and has served as concertmaster of the Walt Disney World Orchestra. She has toured with the Mantovani Orchestra (Japan 2001 and China 2007), and the New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players.
As an accompanist, she has been a staff pianist for the Boston Ballet School, Orlando Ballet and George Brown College. Jill was also a pianist for the Regional Dance America National Festival in Montreal (2012) where she worked with teachers such as Johnny Chang, Frank Augustyn and Pierre Lapointe. Jill participated in the national tours of "The Producers," "The King & I" and "The Light in the Piazza." She was a costar in the atmosphere show entitled "The Story Walkers" at Disney's Animal Kingdom in 2007.
Currently residing in Toronto, Jill is a full-time staff pianist at Canada's National Ballet School and holds the position of musician-in-residence at Church of the Redeemer (Anglican). In addition to these roles, Jill performs as a violinist and pianist at private events across the Greater Toronto Area. She organizes and leads musical groups ranging in size from duo, trio and quartet to chamber orchestra.
